Jonni Reed
Drawing on twenty plus years interior design experience, painter Jonni Reed has an eye for classical subjects around the house and in landscape painting. Carefully rendered details tell the story of human presence by focusing on familiar objects, momentarily left. A farm house or barn dots the countryside and reminds the viewer of the lazy days of summer.
Working in oil as well as watercolor Reed brings a nostalgic element to her paintings through lively brushwork and refined color choices. Balancing light and texture she arrives at compelling images that grace many a Whidbey Island home.
