LLOYD WHANNELL stone sculpture

A feeling of serenity emanates from  the remarkable stone sculptures created by Lloyd Whannell. “The process of stone choice, design, fabrication, pushing the boundaries of stone installation, either in a home or in a garden, are the exciting elements that keep my creativity alive”, says Whannell, who works primarily in black Columbia Basin basalt, multi colored granites, marble, limestone and glacial boulders.

Many of Lloyd’s pieces are functional, and as a licensed contractor he works with architects, designers and home owners to create unique stone additions for in and outdoor living spaces. He is a long time member and past president of the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association whose work is featured in public and private collections throughout the Northwest.
