PETE JORDAN paintings

One of the Northwest’s preeminent landscape painters, Pete Jordan’s paintings, whether in oil or watercolor, have a quiet drama with compelling and familiar accessibility. A country road, old homes in a small town, a sweep of unspoiled beach, a still pond; all come to life in strong compositions with confident brushwork. Jordan’s masterful depiction of atmospheric light enters the soul and evokes an appreciation of the splendor of nature.

Combining a background in the environmental sciences and the natural world with an early childhood interest in painting, Pete has been a full time artist since 1970. Calling Whidbey Island home for nearly that long, many of the island’s quietly beautiful places have been the subject of his paintings. Jordan’s work is avidly collected throughout the Puget Sound region.
