Rob Schouten

The symbolic paintings of Dutch artist Rob Schouten express the mysteries, wonders and questions we ask ourselves about the nature of reality. Inspired by the natural beauty of the American West, Eastern mysticism, quantum physics and Jungian psychology, Schouten creates images that are magically surreal, and at once familiar.

Working in oil, Rob pays meticulous attention to detail and light and often spends months working on a single painting. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States and internationally and is featured in numerous private collections. Commissions include paintings for the family of H.H. the Dalai Lama, and for Dr. Jane Goodall, among others.

We offer twenty Limited Edition Prints in an edition of 24 prints per image, each signed and numbered by the artist.
Oil paintings (18) are reproduced on Premium Quality, neutral PH, acid free canvas, 330 gsm. Paintings that are originally watercolors (2) are printed on natural white, unbleached Hahnemuhle Torchon 280 gsm Fine Art Paper.
