An intense fascination with native cultures and deep love and respect for animals and the Earth is the constant thematic thread throughout Sharon Spencer’s sculptures, which range from large outdoor pieces to simple, elegant, minimalist figurative works. “I hope to speak quietly and powerfully to the heart through my sculpture.”
Spencer has been working professionally for over thirty five years and is proficient in both stone and bronze sculpting. Her award winning sculptures are featured in collections throughout the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe. Continually working on new pieces in her Whidbey Island studio, Sharon’s passion for creating fuels her dreams.
