The Whidbey Island Arts Council is a support organization for artists and the arts in its many varied forms on Whidbey. The Council strongly supports arts education in our local schools and is the organizer of the Annual Whidbey Open Studio Tour.

Specializing in “giclée” fine art reproductions, Fine Balance Imaging Studios brings a keen eye and focus to our museum-quality printing services. Our passion for the arts shows in the care and attention to detail apparent in the prints we produce. We have served over 400 fine artists, photographers, non-profit and commercial organizations. Our print services include fine art giclée reproductions, digital photographic enlargements, and high-resolution scanning, as well as promotional collateral such as business cards & postcards. We also offer various imaging services including graphic design, photographic retouching and restoration, and layout for commercial jobs such as banners, store & window displays, and posters

Raven Rocks Gallery features the original artwork of owners Mary Jo Oxrieder and D.M. Windwalker Taibi. Their body of work includes acrylic and watercolor paintings, hand woven tapestry purses, gemstone necklaces, fairy houses and a variety of mixed media artwork. The Gallery also showcases the work of renowned and emerging resident artists and artisans from Whidbey Island and the Pacific Northwest.

This fantastic 246-seat theater in Langley hosts a year-round season of diverse offerings and delivers patrons a consistent, quality experience and a wide range of arts programs including performances, workshops, and lectures.




WHIDBEY CHILDREN’S THEATER

A heroic small theater in Langley, Whidbey Children’s Theater is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children by creating opportunities for them to discover, experience and participate in the performing arts.




NORTHWEST INSTITUTE of LITERARY ARTS

The Northwest Institute of Literary Arts, home of the Whidbey Island Writers Association, Whidbey Writer’s Workshop, and Whidbey Island Writers Conference, supports writers and promotes the literary arts. Their annual conference, Soundings Review literary magazine and year-round networking and educational opportunities — including the country’s first master of fine arts program offered by an association of writers — bring world-class programs and hundreds of visiting writers to this northwest island community.




WHIDBEY ISLAND FINE ART STUDIO

Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio (formerly Fall City Fine Art Studio) in Langley is dedicated to providing education in high quality representational art for artists at every level. In a pleasant and well equipped environment we offer classes and workshops, led by nationally recognized instructor/artists, in drawing and painting from the still life, figure and landscape – studio and plein air. Our classes and workshops are small and intimate, allowing for more individual attention and a personalized approach.




HEDGEBROOK WOMEN WRITERS RETREAT

Hedgebrook supports visionary women writers whose stories and ideas shape our culture now and for generations to come. Hedgebrook offers one of the few residency programs in the world exclusively dedicated to supporting the creative process of women writers, and bringing their work to the world through innovative public programs.
