Anne’s Comment:
A wall outside a church, in a small town outside Milan, lit by the late afternoon sun. A wall with little detail, and yet every detail in the variations in its surface. Later that day, there was a wedding in this church. A young, beautiful woman, taller than the old man who was to be her husband. The mutterings of the woman sitting nearby smoking a cigarette made me wish my Italian was much better.
