Richard’s artwork is designed to engage its audience, much like a good piece of poetry or jazz—with a sense of discovery and emotion.
Influential to this framework are his 30-year career as an art teacher, extensive travels specifically to study art and architecture in Europe, Russia, Japan, and New York City, as well as exposure to the artists of the Bauhaus and New York Schools during his MFA studies, and the last 15 years focused on his professional art career.
