Rob says, “A giant tree has been uprooted in the forest. It's fall a path of destruction. Yet, the new opening in the canopy lets in more light for new growth. The Buddha in the roots symbolizes there is peace in this process of death, decay, and rebirth. The skunk cabbage in the foreground reminds me of the Hindu lingam/yoni fertility symbol. This scene is along the Wilbert Trail at South Whidbey State Park, one of my favorite places in the world."
