One of the things Rob loves most about the Salish Sea region is the myriad of small islands that dot the landscape. At times, when weather conditions are just right, they appear to be rising from the mist coming off the water. Likewise, the regions volcanos sometimes seem to be floating on clouds. This observation became the inspiration for this paradoxical image of heavy rock hot air balloons, seemingly defying gravity.
