I’m always touched by the power of hope to get us through challenging times and difficult circumstances. This sweet cat’s hopes are pinned on a world where fish swim through the skies and three plump birds are just a quick tree-climb away. Of course, if she stopped her dreaming for just a moment, she might discover the little mouse well within reach just under her chair… but dreams of a better world are often sweeter than the gifts already at hand, aren’t they?

Materials: vintage miniature cat; vintage metal dollhouse chair, altered with fabric skirt; wooden mouse; three wooden birds; candy tin; dollhouse tree; assorted art papers; acrylic paint; glitter glue; piece of lace
