When I found this spunky little snail in an antique store in Port Townsend, I knew she would need her own little world to be herself in.  In her little forest glen, she needn’t hustle or strive or puff herself up, she can simply be. Behind her, in the collaged background, you might catch a glimpse of a beribboned little human girl in a party dress.  I like to think she’s taking note of how the snail moves through the world so that someday she, too, might let go of pleasing and performing and simply be.
